Online seminar: "Opportunities for STEAM training of children and students with SEN"

Steam4sen project was presented by NART representatives, оn 09.03.2021, during an online seminar "Opportunities for STEAM training of children and students with SEN". About 70 resource teachers and specialists participated in the seminar. The focus was on the various opportunities for organizing STEAM learning - from high-tech solutions and equipment, through activities in nature or in the urban environment, to those that can be done in kindergartens and schools.

Steam4SEN outputs were presented during an online seminar focused on "Project-based learning" on 23.02. 2021. The online training was hosted by NART and attended by over 65 resource specialists from Bulgaria. PBL approach is an inevitable part of  the methodology of  the Stem4SEN project intellectual outputs.

Summer school academy NART

During July in the town of Pomorie/Bulgaria was held NART's traditional Summer Inclusion Academy. The participants in the event were teachers and specialists in inclusive education from all over Bulgaria. The number of participants was much smaller than previous years, because of health measures.
During the summer school, new perspectives for distance educational support for students with special educational needs were outlined. STEAM education during COVID-19  conditions was discussed in detail-  advantages and disadvantages were  pointed out, especially when considering students with SEN.
The project Steam4sen was presented and teacheres learnt about the opportunities it gives. Some of them were really interested in the upcoming Educational kit and future trainings.

ERASMUS DAYS 2020 in Portugal

  The Portuguese partners of the STEAM4SEN project had participate in the ERASMUS DAYS 2020, this year from 17 to 19 October.

Among other initiatives, students and teachers who participated last year in ERASMUS+ initiatives, shared these experiences with their peers. There was also opportunity to present the projects that this school are participating in.

Presentation of Good practices

On 9th and 10th of July, during an event: "Palette of good educational practices", organized by the association "Кnew and can " in Sofia, representatives of National association of resource teachers have presented #Steam4SEN project - partnership, aims, planned outputs. We presented the results of the servey of the opportunities and challenges for STEAM education for SEN students in Bulgaria in detail.
The event was attended by teachers, school principals , NGOs' representatives, organizations working in the field of education and training, resource specialists and others.
